365 Days of Photos – day TWENTY-FIVE – New Year’s Eve

Today’s picture is a tad different…. By now you guys are used to pictures of my kids, and the occasional picture of the sunset. However, in celebration of the New Year that is upon us I took a picture of the most popular gift for me this year. I adore candles, I rarely buy them for myself though as they are an added (and sadly) un-necessary expense. So hooray for Candles as presents!

002Heading into New Years we see a lot about resolutions to change oneself, to make improvements to make us more of the perfect person we strive to be. But this year I’m not making any resolutions. Not to say that I’m perfect….but I’m endeavouring just to keep on track the way I’m going. I am happy with my life the way it is, sure there are bumps in the road, but I am truly happy and I hope to stay that way!

See you tomorrow for day TWENTY-SIX and surely a picture (or two) of the girls passed out way before midnight!

365 Days of Photos – day TWENTY-FOUR

015

Meet the un-official stand in for Mika the Vancouver 2010 Olympics Mascot!  I have to admit that I actually had to head to google to find out the name of this little guy.  I won this bath towel at work and Malie has adopted it as her very own.

See you tomorrow for day TWENTY-FIVE!

I’m at it again!  Bending my rules a teensie tiny little bit!  What better to spend days off with the kids then with some baking?  From the looks on their faces their not too disappointed.

365 Days of Photos – dayNINETEEN

While less may be more to Stacey and Clinton…. more is definitely best for a 5 year old!  Why wear just one hair accessory when you can wear 3, 4 or more?  Add to that a princess dress and you’re set for a day of fun!

Oh yeah!  Did it yesterday, and I’m doing it today too!  Bending the rules as I have 2 amazing photos and I can’t choose between them.

Malie all sacked out and fast asleep on the couch.  I love how peaceful she is while sleeping.

002 Then there’s Tala and her Gingerbread Man she decorated for the house yesterday….he didn’t have a chance!

365 Days of Photos – daySEVEN

One solid week already!  How awesome is that?

014 All tuckered out and fast asleep.  Tala is in the middle of intensive swimming lessons, and is just tuckered at the end of the day.  She’s absorbing the lessons well (according to Gran-paw she’s swimming across the pool already)…but it makes for a long week for my little princess.

See you tomorrow for dayEIGHT!

Big sister, big teacher! Tala absolutely adores teaching her little sister everything she learns at school – and Malie is a very studious student! I love hearing them interact and the things that Tala teaches her little sister are absolutely amazing.

DAYfifty-two – 150 Days of Photos

She’s my little dancing girl, part deux.  Miss Malie has started taking Ballet classes as well!  Here she is with her Ballet Hair :O)  And for the record, it is exceptionally difficult to get this one to sit down to get hair done!  Equally hard is taking a picture… some things never change eh?

DAYfifty-one – 150 Days of Photos

Say it ain’t so!  Not only an amazing song by none other than Weezer… but also my sentiments regarding my 150 Days of Photos.  What happened?  I truly don’t know.  Things were flowing.  Then we moved.  Life happened.  I spearheaded a huge project at work in support of Breast Cancer Research and kersploosh… there went my photo project.  In all reality I pretty much stopped taking photos for an entire month.  Finally around the start of school I picked up the camera again.  Sometimes despite our best intentions best laid plans get off track.

I’m still going to work on it through to till Tala’s birthday, then we’ll wrap up November 15th, and move onto the new and improved 365 Days of Photos for 2010. Can’t guarantee a picture a day, but we’ll work on it.

So without further ado… Miss Tala had her first ever School Picture Day today.  On the weekend we picked up an adorable dress at Zellers and got her all dressed up pretty this morning.  Now just to wait anxiously to see the final result when the proofs come in.  Judging by this photo I have no worries!

041 See you soon for DAYfifty-two… hopefully not as long as waited for DAYfifty-one!

DAYforty-six – 150 Days of Photos

Welcome to DAYforty-six of the 150 Days of Photos.

One of the huge benefits of living in a fishing village (and having a fisherman Dad to boot) is an abundance of salmon during the summer months.  My Dear Ole Dad sure delivered the goods last night and we feasted at supper time tonight!

Tala of course right in on the action during supper prep time

DAYforty-four – 150 Days of Photos

After an exceptionally busy 3 days at work all I wanted to do last night was hang around with my little angels.  We had supper, cuddled, read books and talked about our days and our weekend plans.  Then off to bed we went nice and early.  I decided that missing a day wasn’t such a big deal.

071 Today’s photo is courtesy of Malie the young phenom photographer.  She’s great!

Borrowing a picture that I took yesterday, but didn’t use for the Photo of the Day. The girls had so much fun modelling in their new dance outfits.

DAYthirty-seven – 150 Days of Photos

Today we have the mother of all Photo Gifts.  Artscow never seems to disappoint, but yet I was a tad apprehensive when I ordered the Fleece Blanket currently on special for $14.99 US (shipped).  I had no idea what to actually expect.  I’ve always been exceptionally impressed with the quality of the products we received, but would the blanket be up to par?

My goodness is it ever.  As expected Miss Malie (my blankie girl) has claimed the blanket for herself, and loves having pictures of us all on her blanket.

011Cute or what?  The clarity is absolutely amazing, and I love the added details I was able to add.  The butterflies for one, there’s also a heart pattern added in.  I used 9 photos in total.

DAYthirty-four – 150 days of Photos

Can it be so?  A day without a picture or two (or three) of my kids?  It was bound to happen eventually!

We’ve been having very unusual weather lately (well okay, its not really unusual for Rupert – though it is more extreme) and that has resulted in some amazing cloud formations in the sky.

DAYthirty-three – 150 Days of Photos

Okay.  So perhaps I am getting a little over-gung-ho on the 150 Days of Photos.  My motivation is evidently here in full force and I’ve been sneaking in extra pictures!  Egad!  However, I must say that it is far preferable to the alternative… not getting enough great pictures in!

044 Today turned out to be a pretty awesome day so we headed out to Diana Lake for a supper time picnic with resident cuties in tow.  The girls had a blast in the freezing cold (oh my goodness was it cold) water.  I absolutely love this picture of the 3 of them flying into the water together.

Back tomorrow for DAYthirty-four!
