Today’s picture is a tad different…. By now you guys are used to pictures of my kids, and the occasional picture of the sunset. However, in celebration of the New Year that is upon us I took a picture of the most popular gift for me this year. I adore candles, I rarely buy them for myself though as they are an added (and sadly) un-necessary expense. So hooray for Candles as presents!

Fun and Excitement being home with Mommy this week! The girls are so happy to have some special Mommy time…and Mommy definitely isn’t complaining either!
While less may be more to Stacey and Clinton…. more is definitely best for a 5 year old! Why wear just one hair accessory when you can wear 3, 4 or more? Add to that a princess dress and you’re set for a day of fun!

Big sister, big teacher! Tala absolutely adores teaching her little sister everything she learns at school – and Malie is a very studious student! I love hearing them interact and the things that Tala teaches her little sister are absolutely amazing.
All bundled up for a night on the town! The girls headed out to watch the fireworks last night. Layers upon layers were a definite must!
Winter fest today included a meeting with Dora, Boots & Elmo. Malie was very nervous about them, but was content to have her picture taken with some back up!

Welcome back to the 2nd Annual 365 Days of Photos with the Optimistic Beauty!
Happy Almost Hallowe’en! This years costume of choice for Miss Malie turned out to be Snow White. She looks absolutely adorable in her costume, and is so excited to head out trick or treating!
She’s my little dancing girl, part deux. Miss Malie has started taking Ballet classes as well! Here she is with her Ballet Hair :O) And for the record, it is exceptionally difficult to get this one to sit down to get hair done! Equally hard is taking a picture… some things never change eh?
Say it ain’t so! Not only an amazing song by none other than Weezer… but also my sentiments regarding my 150 Days of Photos. What happened? I truly don’t know. Things were flowing. Then we moved. Life happened. I spearheaded a huge project at work in support of Breast Cancer Research and kersploosh… there went my photo project. In all reality I pretty much stopped taking photos for an entire month. Finally around the start of school I picked up the camera again. Sometimes despite our best intentions best laid plans get off track.
I’m still going to work on it through to till Tala’s birthday, then we’ll wrap up November 15th, and move onto the new and improved 365 Days of Photos for 2010. Can’t guarantee a picture a day, but we’ll work on it.
So without further ado… Miss Tala had her first ever School Picture Day today. On the weekend we picked up an adorable dress at Zellers and got her all dressed up pretty this morning. Now just to wait anxiously to see the final result when the proofs come in. Judging by this photo I have no worries!

Today the girls and I joined our adopted family on an epic bus ride to the North Pacific Cannery in Port Edward. A super duper awesome amazing time was had by all!

After an exceptionally busy 3 days at work all I wanted to do last night was hang around with my little angels. We had supper, cuddled, read books and talked about our days and our weekend plans. Then off to bed we went nice and early. I decided that missing a day wasn’t such a big deal.

Beautiful Summer Day here today.. but I’ve taken care of that… 4 spiders and 1 beetle down… all bases covered – rain should be arriving any minute! LOL.
Today we have the mother of all Photo Gifts. Artscow never seems to disappoint, but yet I was a tad apprehensive when I ordered the Fleece Blanket currently on special for $14.99 US (shipped). I had no idea what to actually expect. I’ve always been exceptionally impressed with the quality of the products we received, but would the blanket be up to par?
My goodness is it ever. As expected Miss Malie (my blankie girl) has claimed the blanket for herself, and loves having pictures of us all on her blanket.

We’ve been having very unusual weather lately (well okay, its not really unusual for Rupert – though it is more extreme) and that has resulted in some amazing cloud formations in the sky.
Okay. So perhaps I am getting a little over-gung-ho on the 150 Days of Photos. My motivation is evidently here in full force and I’ve been sneaking in extra pictures! Egad! However, I must say that it is far preferable to the alternative… not getting enough great pictures in!
